Below shows some initial proposals:
Shopping is always girls' favorite, so I started with some kind of cuteness. I love option C a lot but my client and I agree that it's more like for a game than community, and option B looks more like their existing image, so we took it down the way.
After adding some depth and details, I made into what it looks like in the title image. And suggested by my client, I adjust the main color to a more vivid green since most of the iPhone 4 screen look yellow than PC display.
And I've done a few concept design for the splash:
